Obesity Management at Melbourne Institute of Obesity Surgery is a multi-disciplinary team
approach and the following staff with our surgeons are involved in both surgical and non surgical management
of obesity.
- Registered nurses who provide follow-up care and support to patients throughout all
phases.
- Nutritionists/ Dietician- our nutritionists are registered dietitians who conduct nutritional evaluations of weight-loss candidates. They educate surgery patients on the post-operative
diet, and provide on-going counseling to promote long-term weight maintenance.
- Psychologists who perform evaluations of potential surgery patients and, when appropriate, provide or coordinate further psychological care.
